Toni is a licensed private investigator and an expert in developing intelligence-led risk and security programs which leverage collaboration and improve an organization’s ability to successfully plan for and respond to myriad risk and security challenges. She is experienced in digital risk strategy and analysis to support due diligence, compliance, risk, security, human resources and investigations.
Prior to starting RISK CONFIDENCE GROUP LLC, Toni was Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Jacksonville Field Office. As Assistant Special Agent in Charge she was responsible for strategy and management of the criminal, intelligence, cyber and crisis management operations. Her duties also included oversight of the administrative support branch and the financial office. She oversaw a workforce of over 200 people and a sizeable operating budget. Toni served as an FBI spokesperson at numerous press conferences and other public venues throughout her career. In September 2011, she appeared on Dateline NBC's Season Premier Episode titled "Ransom," which featured the kidnapping investigation into the 2009 disappearance of a young mother from Ponte Vedra, Florida. Toni currently provides expert commentary for local media outlets, regarding crime, terrorism workplace violence and issues related to the FBI.
She is a licensed private investigator and a certified crisis negotiator, and subject matter expert in interview and interrogation, and developing intelligence-led programs.
Toni served more than 20 years as a Special Agent with the FBI. During her tenure, she held a number of different positions. She served as an investigator specializing in corruption, organized crime and fraud. She served as multi-program manager responsible for meeting performance goals, and she managed special projects while detailed to Washington, D.C. Toni also held positions as a supervisory special agent negotiator, as an instructor at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, and as the senior supervisory special agent for a satellite office of FBI Detroit. While at the academy, Toni was designated a subject matter expert in intelligence, interview and interrogation, and also taught other communication concepts. During her career Toni traveled on assignment to provide instruction and training at the International Law Enforcement Academy in Budapest, Hungary, the Royal Swaziland Police, and she supported international investigative efforts in Ottawa Canada, in the aftermath of 9/11.
Toni holds a Masters of Education from University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Michigan State University. She completed Harvard University's Executive Program on Negotiation and Northwestern University's Kellogg School Executive Seminar on Leading Strategic Change. She completed intensive negotiation certification programs with the FBI and Scotland Yard. Toni is a licensed private investigator. and experienced in developing intelligence-led risk and security programs.
Giving back: In August 2015, Toni founded SAMARITAN BLUE, Inc. This not-for-profit organization has a vision of facilitating and promoting positive dialogue between communities and police officers.
